Not sure if its kangaroos, wombats or rabbits impacting the landscape?
Here’s some simple visual assessments you can do when you’re assessing a rabbit problem:
- is there an increased presence and spread of invasive weeds?
- can you see rabbit dung piles?
- can you see scratchings and soil disturbance?
- are plants are pruned and cut at 45 degree angle?
- is there distinct ‘browse-lines’ on shrubs and foliage , typically 500 mm above the ground within reach of the rabbits
- do you have warrens, ground openings for rabbits to shelter?
- are your crops are eaten out 50 m from warrens?
