We had so much fun hanging out with this crew in Macedon and Hanging Rock, for our Leadership in Rabbit Management Bootcamp on 16-18 May 2022.
The participants came from all over Victoria and represented several different organisations from across community, Landcare, Parks Victoria, Melbourne Water and the Department of Environment Land, Water and Planning (DELWP).
Despite their different backgrounds, they now all share the same technical skills and best practice knowledge, to go back and implement within their own communities, after completing our two-and-a-half-day course!
The new group will now form a new Learning Network to continue their learning with the VRAN mentors and to share their experiences with each other as they continue their rabbit management journey.
Here’s what some of the group participants had to say about the VRAN Course:
‘I liked the practical demonstrations and cases studies on effective control methods’.
‘I liked the diversity of people in the group, especially the Not for Profit and community group representatives’. ‘I liked the practical demonstrations and cases studies on effective control methods’ ‘I liked the knowledge of the mentors’ ‘I liked the networking opportunities’ |
Our new leaders are so motivated to share and use their new knowledge to create landscape change and we just can’t wait to see what they achieve!
