Last week, our VRAN Mentors caught up for another session with the BIIK team from Taungurung Land and Waters Council and their efforts were focused on – Care, Share and Repair!
Care: The group met with Cath from the Euroa Arboretum to show how much they ‘care’ about the impacts rabbits are having on her revegetation efforts and how they can support each other.
Share: The group discussed and ‘shared’ stories about the devastating impact of feral rabbits on regeneration plantings and the challenges of rabbit management in urban and bush landscapes.
Repair: The group agreed that with collaboration and best practise active management they can restore and ‘repair’ areas of native vegetation ‘to grow back the bush’.
VRAN are skilled at connecting people to place and place to people.
