Hop to it! Applications for the Leadership in Rabbit Control Course opening soon

12 February 2021

VRAN will be hosting its fourth Leadership in Rabbit Control Course on April 18-20, 2021.

This free mentoring course on integrated rabbit management will provide 20 community leaders, currently working in rabbit management, with the opportunity to learn from the best in the business.

With training and guidance provided by recognised experts from community, industry and government, the successful applicants will participate in a variety of field trips, classroom-based sessions, and networking activities over the 2.5 days.

Aiming to boost technical skills and best practice knowledge, participants will tackle some of the big challenges in rabbit control, including working in culturally and environmentally sensitive landscapes, and managing effective partnerships across community and agencies.

Previous participants of the course reported that in addition to the skills training, one of the major benefits of attending was the opportunity to establish networks with others facing similar rabbit management challenges.

To hear more about what participants had to say about the course you can check out our rabbit bootcamp highlights video.

We encourage diversity in our Leadership in Rabbit Control Course and welcome people with a range of perspectives and experiences to be involved. VRAN are seeking a balance of representation by gender, industry, regions, community groups, Traditional Owners, land managers, government agencies and other professionals to apply. Participants must be over 18 years of age and based in Victoria.
